Interop Labs, the initial developer of Axelar Network, has entered into an agreement for the Interop Labs team and proprietary intellectual property to join Circle, a testament to the leading interoperability platform that the team helped to build.
Axelar Network, Foundation and the AXL token remain independent, open-source and community governed. As we look ahead to the next phase of growth and innovation for programmable, non-custodial interoperability, we thank Interop Labs for their contributions to date.
Common Prefix, another primary and long-time contributor to the Axelar Network, will take a leading position in the Axelar developer community, assuming many of Interop Labs' current activities, following closing. In addition to Axelar, Common Prefix has contributed significantly to a list of innovative protocols, including Ripple’s XRP Ledger, Sui, Flashbots, Babylon and Build on Bitcoin.
